چکیده
Intra-Operative Positioning System (IOPS) (Centerline Biomedical, Cleveland, OH) is a 3D electromagnetic (EM) endovascular navigation system approved by the US Food and Drug Administration developed as an adjunct to fluoroscopy. It provides real-time display of sensorized material on anatomical map flat screen. An investigational prototype based IOPS incorporates ability implanted stent grafts visualize stents anatomy using augmented reality headset. The aim this study was compare completion bifurcated graft gate cannulation performed participants varying experience fluoroscopy or different variations IOPS. task aortic endograft deployed into printed abdominal aneurysm model connected flow pump reproducing physiological conditions, in hybrid operating room (GE Allia IGS 7). Each participant tasks with fluoroscopy, EM guidance screen (EM-FS), headset (EM-AR) (Fig 1), randomized order. All used same guidewire steerable 6F catheter for three runs. Participants were classified groups experience. Primary end points included time technical success, defined advancement over within main body. Fifteen minutes cutoff each trial. In group 1, mean lower EM-AR versus (4.3 ± 4.4 vs 7.1 4.9 minutes; P = .04), no difference between EM-FS (6.3 4.5 .63). success 77% 92% both modalities (P .59). 2, there trend toward shorter times compared (mean 2.5 0.9, 4.0 5.2 minutes, respectively). 100% > .99). surgeon repeated four approach, .89) 2). Augmented allows reducing previous navigation. This auspicious finding suggests that can be beneficial individuals early their career mitigate learning curve.Fig 2Mean operators experience.View Large Image Figure ViewerDownload Hi-res image Download (PPT)

Integrated Navigation of Cameras for Augmented Reality
In augmented reality, the position and orientation of the camera must be estimated very accurately. This paper will propose a filtering approach, similar to integrated navigation in aircraft, which is based on inertial measurements as primary sensor on which dead-reckoning can be based, and features in the image as supporting information to stabilize the dead-reckoning. The image features are c...
متن کاملA Survey of Augmented Reality Navigation
Navigation has been a popular area of research in both academia and industry. Combined with maps, and different localization technologies, navigation systems have become robust and more usable. By combining navigation with augmented reality, it can be improved further to become realistic and user friendly. This paper surveys existing researches carried out in this area, describes existing techn...
متن کاملAugmented Reality Kanji Learning
ARToolKit programmers are familiar with the kanji symbols supplied with the distribution. Most of them have do not know what these kanji symbols mean. We propose a piece of educational software that uses collaborative Augmented Reality (AR) to teach users the meaning of kanji symbols. The application is laid out as a two player Augmented Reality computer game. The novelty of our approach is tha...
متن کاملEmbedded Virtual Views for Augmented Reality Navigation
In this paper, we present virtual embedded views used for turnbased pedestrian navigation in Augmented Reality (AR). Embedded views allow users to see around occluding structures and at the same time seamlessly integrate the augmented navigation aid into the otherwise occluded view. Users get a preview on upcoming route changes, without the need to consult an additional map view. We compare emb...
